My story called: The Dream World

Chapter 1: Late Again

Lets say today started out on the wrong foot, I???m late. Again. I haven???t been home in three years. I???ve been training in a village that???s about five days travel from my village. I???ve changed a lot in since I left. I was very distance from everyone in my village for personal reasons and hardly-never talked to anyone, now I???m, well different. I found out that I missed the villagers more than I thought I would and I find that I???m really happy to be going home, something I thought would never happen. All the other students in my year have probably been there for hours now, I know because I???m very late. No one will be there to meet me either. I guess because I wasn???t the most liked there, many had a grudge against my clan more than me but since I???m the only one left alive they had to be mad at me.
???Dawson!??? a girl yelled as I broke out of the trees and was temporarily blinded by the sun.
When my eyes adjusted to the light I realized who had yelled my name. It was a very pretty girl with brown hair that hung to the middle of her back who wore a black tank top and short jean shorts; she had a tattoo of the village crest on her chest, a tattoo of her family crest on her
Left arm, a tattoo of the symbol for traveller on her right arm and a tattoo of my family crest around her bellybutton (this was much bigger then the rest)
I should have known she???d be there waiting for me (she has the biggest crush on me of any girl in the village, hints why she has the tattoo). Standing next to her (I had to wave to her because she was waving to me) to my surprise was my trainer. He had light blond hair almost white, he wore green sweat pants and a black long sleeved shirt with a green vest, he (like the girl) wore a headband with the village crest on it. Next to him was
a man I barely recognized (which turned out later to be my father) he was a older trainer who I had never really seen up close, but he wore a t-shirt and pants which were black and had white, blue, and green strips down the legs and sleeves he also wore the village headband, but instead of a vest like most trainers he wore a long blue robe thing which resembled two capes tied together that almost reached the ground with a head hole in it. Some times it would be lose
And other times he would have it tied up with a piece of white cloth for a belt. Why he was there beet me but I didn???t have time to dwell on it because when I got close enough the girl through her arms around my neck and hugged me. My trainer just stood there and laughed at how red my face went. The other man just stood there leaned up against the right pillar that held up the banner that welcomed everyone to our village, with his arms crossed.
???You???re late.??? My trainer said.
???I was worried you had got lost.??? The girl said standing back.
I found that no matter how hard I tried I could not remember there names and come to think of it I hadn???t even remembered mine till the girl had yelled it out this was the first sine that something was wrong with me.
???I know I???m late and I don???t think I got lost.??? I answered slowly trying to remember there names.
What happened next I don???t know, it could have been the heat or the distance I traveled or something but I remember swaying and my name being called and then falling.

I woke with a start and sat bolt straight up. My trainer was asleep in a chair beside my bed in the hospital and the girl was, to my surprise, curled up in a ball on the foot of my bed and the other man was gone.
???So you???re finally awake???? a voice said from beside my left side.
I looked over and the doctor sat there. He reached over and felt my forehead.
???Well your all better,??? he said ???it???s been two days.???
Me I was still confused on what had happened and what the voices I herd were. I guess that he could tell because he said
???You fainted because of the heat, ???heatstroke??? as far as I can tell; I want you to stay till noon.???
???I herd voices.??? I said rubbing my head.
???Probably us talking, you might have been semi-conscious when they brought you in.??? he said standing up and walking around the bed and shaking my trainer awake.
He woke with a start and a yelp and quickly stood up.
???Well that???s two of you I managed to scare.??? The doctor said smiling pointing to me. ???Hay your awake.??? my trainer said sitting back down as the doctor left regaining his composure.
???So I???m told.??? I responded lying back against the pillows.
???Well your better I guess, you???re trying to be smart again.??? He laughed.
???You know??? it???s not till you lose something that you realize how much it meant to you.??? I said looking at him.
???Yes I know, but that???s part of the job. You???ll always be moving around leaving people and friends behind, even seeing them killed.??? He answered looking at the girl sleeping at my feet
???She missed you really bad, I know you act like you don???t care or need help from anyone, but I???d bet a weeks pay that you missed her just as much.???
???I can???t answer that??? I replied mainly because I didn???t make what he did in a week and besides I wasn???t sure what it was I had missed about the village. Although I am fond of her, I can???t say for if I did I???d break our clan rules.
My clan forbids males to marry out side of the clan, for blood reasons. I didn???t know that it didn???t matter anymore since the clan was gone but still I wasn???t about to say anything to him, I still couldn???t remember his or her names.
???I???ll take that as a maybe??? he smiled ???how long do you have to stay here????
???Till noon??? I said ???how long have you two been here????
???Since well??? she has been here for the full two days, I???ve came and went.??? He said. It bugged me how he got around using her name and I guess he could tell when he looked at me.
???Is something wrong? You look mad??? he asked.
???No??? I mumbled. I wasn???t about to admit that I didn???t remember his, her or anyone???s names , I???d only have been gone for three years and I???ve known them all my life plus I figured it would land me more days in the hospital so I keep my mouth shut.
???You sure???? he asked as the girl woke up.
???Yes I???m sure??? I said as she looked up.
???Well good morning, afternoon, evening whichever it is??? she said sitting up.
???Well at least she didn???t say ???you???re awake??? to me that got annoying fast.??? I said.
???I figured it had so I thought better of it. What time is it anyway???? she asked standing up and stretching.
???Around 11 am.??? My trainer said looking out the window behind his head, which I hadn???t seen before.
???Oh good then I can have breakfast and lunch in a row.??? She said.
???Aren???t you worried about your weight like all the other girls???? my trainer asked.
???I made a discovery on my here year trip to Wendal, I only gain weight if I stop eating. It doesn???t matter how much I eat.??? She said and went to talk to the doctor.
???Well I could have told her that??? I said watching her go. I had always watched her from behind.
???You watched her enough to realize that???? my trainer asked with a smile.
???Well???I???it wasn???t hard to notice when she was at school. We were in the same class. The weeks she wouldn???t eat at all she gained weight quickly but then when she???d start eating again she???d lose the weight and go back to a constant weight. The other girls were angry about that because she???s so pretty and doesn???t have to even try to be and they do??? I said pretending I didn???t realize what he was talking about.
She came back with a tray of food for her- self and the doctor had two trays, one for me and one for my trainer, and once again they got around saying names. The food was good although I did feel strange because she ate twice as much twice as fast.
