His eyes still closed, and his ears folded, Kija struggled to his mother's side to nurse. His black and gray pelt shining where Fern had licked him. Beta had pushed her sister Flower out of the way and was now suckling. She was slightly larger than the others and was noticably more dominant at her day old state. Kai smiled at this.

Kai noted her relaxed temper and entered slowly. Nuzzling her neck he sat beside his mate and looked at his pups. There were four beautiful lives before him, all female and one lone male. "Their perfect."He smiled congratulating Fern with a lick on the cheek.
