Rebellion of the mind

"Please don't" she pleaded. Tears running down her filthy cheek. One could tell the path of each individual tear. Her frail body dangling in the darkness. She could sense him. It was the connection the two shared when they were so close. Best friends. Where did it all go wrong? Was it the time that he had tried to blow up a village? She hadn't liked his idea yet still she found herself helping him. Perhaps he was insane.
"You've had your chance. EVERY DAY YOU GET A FRESH START. WHAT DO I GET? I GET NOTHING. YOUR TWISTED AND SICK. YOU COULD COMMIT MURDER AND STILL BE A SAINT. WHAT CAN I DO? I'M THE DEVIL TO THE WORLD. TO MY FAMILY!" his voice roared through the darkness. He was lost and so she sang. The lyrics were bad and so was her singing but it was the song they had wrote when they were young.
"Where have all the saints gone? Has everyone lost their way? Has all the gods of myth and legend gone? Are we in hell or earth? Where have all the saints gone? Everyone's lost their way"
"SHUT UP" he yelled yet still she continued
"The saints have left, the gods have fled and demons roam the night. Killers are the new gods and saints are long forgotten. The only rule is chaos and anarchy is the only way. Where have all the good ones gone? has everyone lost the path?"
That was the last thing she said before a gun shot was fired and her soul fled. Her soul fled into the dark abyss.
