At school we have been encouraged to start thinking about our future careers. This is quite daunting for me! There are many different directions I would like my life to go. I have many interests and I am quite smart so I have many options which makes my decision harder for myself. Before I continue, I would love to hear what your ideal job is (this may help me with my decision) and why you think it would be a great job. Here are a few of my top choices, and my reasons for why I would like to work as it.

Musician: I L.O.V.E MUSIC! It has been a passion for as long as I can remember. When I was in grade 2, I used to take singing, acting, and dancing classes. I believe this has had a massive impact on my skill with music. The first instrument I had played was a recorder (it was compulsory for all students). I enjoyed it and continued playing for about 2 years. I would always play my Grandma's piano whenever I went over to her house. I was horrible at it because I hadn't had any lessons, but I still enjoyed it. I quit recorder and got accepted to learn to play flute. I found flute real easy and got the hang of it pretty much straight away. I continued to play flute for 2 years, and after a long break, played for another year. I moved to a new school which taught piano. I jumped at the opportunity and played that for a year. I never practiced because I didn't have a piano, but my teacher said (and I quote), "You frustrate me so much! You don't ever practice, but you are still ahead of everyone else!" This made me quite smug, but I think my teacher hated me, so I quit the lessons and my friend just taught me during recess and lunch times (I found this far more enjoyable). I then took singing lessons. I LOVED it! I would always look forward to my lessons, and was always practicing. I then had to move schools again and so I took up guitar. It was always my dream to learn guitar but at my previous school, guitar was really popular so I didn't have the chance to learn it there. I got ahead of my class in guitar pretty quick. I played guitar for only 2 terms (even though I loved it) because I was doing a TAFE course which meant I was way behind in all my work. I made a MASSIVE sacrifice in giving up music. Currently I am not learning any instruments. I wan't to be a musician because its what Iv'e grown up loving. There are two things stopping me from starting this as a career. 1) I think music is too good for me. And 2) I'm too shy to want to play/sing in front of someone.

Social Worker: Ok, I promise this paragraph will be shorter than the last. So my Mum has also been encouraging me to think about my future. In the car one day, she was running through a whole heap of career choices that I might like. One that really stood out to me was being a Social Worker. My family has a big history with helping out with organizations such as Make A Wish and Camp Quality because my older sister has cancer. I don't really know which skills you need to be a social worker but I get along with people well and I love caring for others and making them smile. There are many different types of Social Workers so I was thinking of becoming the type that helps orphans find good homes to live in for (hopefully) a long time. Just the thought of positively contributing to someones life this greatly brings a smile to my face. So for that simple reason, I would love to become a Social Worker.

RSPCA Australia: For those of you who don't know, RSPCA stands for Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty against Animals. The RSPCA help all different animals in need. I love animals. They are all so cute and cuddly that I don't want to imagine a suffering animal. The RSPCA do things such as find good homes for abandoned pets, feed starving animals, fix wounds on animals, so pretty much they look after the wellbeing of animals. To me animals are an important part of my life (and hopefully everyone else life) so this is why I would like to be a part of RSPCA Australia.

Childcare Worker: I'm hoping everyone knows what this is. Children are full of energy. They don't fail to put a smile on your face. They are original. They aren't conscious of what they look like. If only every human was like this. The world would be a much better place. Somebody needs to look after these bubbly personalities and I am more than willing to be the person who does!

So there are plenty more things I would like to be but these are my top choices. If anyone has any suggestions, don't forget to message me biggrin.gif Thankyou!!!

Introducing Me!!

Hey all you Marapet Lovers! My name is Stephanie. I am 15 and have two sisters. Chantelle who is 17, and Brianna, 11. My parents are called David and Cathie. I have two pets, a black female cat called Jasper and a black male Labrador called Boston. I live in a small town on the border of SA with my two sisters and Dad and will soon be moving to a larger town with my Mum. I work at a roadhouse. My hobbies include reading, singing, going online, annoying my sisters, and playing instruments. Music is my passion. Live for it, die for it. I play Piano, Guitar, Flute, and Voice. I have high grades which is a curse and a blessing. Blessing because I find school fair easy. Curse because I get teased a lot about being a 'nerd' and I am expected to be good at everything. I love my family with all my heart. I have 8 cousins (so far), 3 Aunts, 4 Uncles, 4 Grandparents, and plenty of close friends (who I consider part of my family). My best friend is Kirsty. At the moment we live 2 hours apart so I haven't seen her for almost a whole year. I used to live in Adelaide. My best friend back then was a tomboy called Jenna. Because I moved I haven't seen her in almost 9 years! I miss her each day and still remember her home number! My mum bumped into Jenna's mum the other day and so they exchanged phone numbers so we could catch up with them soon. Mum told me about her encounter. I couldn't sleep that night because I was so excited, also kinda scared that she wouldn't like me anymore or I'm scared she might have forgotten me!

If you have any Questions about me...and at all! Or if you would like to chat just send me an email on Marapets! Look forward to hearing from you!
