Character Name: Argento
Gender: Male
Age: Unknown (he appears 19 and definitely acts this age, but then again, most imps act like juveniles)
Race/Species: Mage/Imp mix
Nature/Personality: Chaotic Good/ borderline Chaotic Neutral

Argento loves to mess with others to amuse himself which is good as he basically feeds off of the chaos, fear, and confusion he creates in order to maintain his powers. He often uses his abilitiy to mess with others and isn't afraid to mess with authority figures as long as he thinks he can get away with it. During a crisis he can keep a level head and a calm demeanor, and is regularly a relaxed and fun loving person. Sometimes his definition of fun is much different from others. Although others have described him as a selfish imp with a sweet tooth, if someone was seriously in trouble he'd do what he could to help. Probably not without messing with them first. He's young, has a longer lifespan than a pure blood human, and likes to think he's unntouchable and invincible. If he gets himself in some trouble he's going to try and get himself out of said trouble himself. His attention span is somewhat short, often moving from one interesting thing to the next in order to keep himself entertained.

The primary targets of his illusions are cruel or unfair humans as they provide the most energy. This may make him seem like a benevolent or justice seeking spirit when in reality he's just being selfish, though knocking those more arrogant than him down a few pegs can be amusing. He isn't limited specifically to those particular types of humans and wouldn't be above frightening a child lost in the woods or creating illusionary flames in an innocent's home.

Appearance: Argento's appearance is constantly changing. He often uses his illusions to look like other species, ages, and sometimes even genders. When he's asleep, exhausted, or unfocused his true appearance shows. He stands taller than average at 5'11". His eyes are hazel (which occasionally appear luminescent via a few illusions) and he keeps his dark blonde hair well groomed. The variety of imp his mother is relies on remaining unnoticed by humans as they essentially feed off of human emotions. He wears a white long sleeved shirt, a burgundy vest and hood, baggy black pants, and expensive black shoes he probably stole or swindled a noble for. The hood is used to hide his pointed ears that would be an immediate indicator to humans he's a Faefolk. He has a tail that is hairless and feels like human skin except for the tip which is covered in fur that's the same color as his hair. His pants are loose so he can hide his tail by wrapping it around his leg underneath his clothes. Other than the tail and pointed ears he looks like your average human.

Background: Originally most if not all imps survived off of the forest and had similar jobs to fairies and sprites in keeping the forest healthy. As humans first started destroying the forest another variation of imp arose that fed off of human emotions. How this change came about no one is sure but some believe the guardian himself made the decision to make this change to a select few imps. Since their powers were fueled by the emotions of man it would encourage imps to frighten off intruders in the forest. Their tricks and illusions they would use on humans wasn't even close enough to stop their destruction. As the forest started dwindling this variety of imps moved into the cities of men. Eventually though a few select imps ruined how humans viewed them as a whole by taking a few tricks way too far and soon the humans were trying to drive them out of their towns or worse would kill a few of them. A few imps were smart and would find ways to hide their unique features so they could hide among men and eventually the humans forgot their existence and the existence of Faefolk in general.

Arge's father is a mage that specialized in conjuration magic which is considered a risky magic to wield. His mother is a tailor who tried to force him into her profession. His parents tried their best to force strict rules and regulations on him, however no matter what they tried they couldn't stop him from being his impish self. He often played tricks on others without his parent's knowledge. That was until an incident where one of his illusions frightened a human into a lake. It turned out the stranger couldn't swim. Argento swam after him to try and help to pull him out. The guy was panicked though and kept pulling him under to try and get above the water. They both would've drowned if a small group of bystanders hadn't decided to swim in and save them. If the human had discovered Argento wasn't human they may try and drive him and his family out of the village and into the dying forest. After it seemed he hadn't changed from the event his parents became stricter and more overbearing, though the only reason he didn't let the event change him was because of the fact that his parents hadn't seemed concerned about his wellbeing after the event. In all honesty nearly drowning had horrified him. Despite his pitiful behavior he was a bright individual. Brighter than the average villagers at least.

After a few arguments and a few incidences where he embarrassed his father he was half kicked out and half decided to leave his family's home and not associate himself with their business. The first few months was spent homeless, frightening or confusing almost any human that crossed his path. As much as he didn't want to associate himself with jobs having to do with clothes, he eventually took a job as a tailor working for a man in the next town over as he had few other job skills though more often than not it seems he's wandering off from his work to persue more interesting activities and people. What he wants to do is be able to use his illusionary abilities for a job for a play. Not only would it be an easy way to evoke emotions in humans but he'd also be able to show the world beautiful images that no prop could create. There are a few problems with this as the images would be too realistic to not be magic and he's not sure how humans would react should they know what he is and how he feeds from human emotions.

Abilities/Skills:
-Feeding off of emotions is only enough to maintain his powers and sustain his life. If he wants to recover from overusing his powers he's required to eat a great deal of food, sugar being his preferred substance for recovery. The targets he gains the most energy from are horrible, arrogant, or unfair humans. This makes him seem beneficial or justice seeking to some humans but in reality he's just being selfish.

-He's just as weak and slow as your average human, the only major differences he has from a human physically is his tail and pointed ears.

Illusions
Argento specialises in creating visual and auditory illusions that are relatively harmless. These illusions cannot be touched unless he was disguising an existing creature or object. The illusions are never loud or bright enough to cause harm. The more powerful the illusion he creates, the more energy, concentration, and time it requires to create. If he loses concentration the illusion will appear to be incomplete or dissapear. If he tires himself out he could need to sleep for hours depending on the energy expended, it could be a few days if he really over does it. This can prove particularly dangerous or even fatal if he's asleep for anywhere around three to four days due to dehydration. When he makes himself 'invisible' he's expending a decent amount of energy. When making himself seem to dissapear he's masking himself with an illusion of what his surroundings should be. Even the slightest distraction can cause him to lose focus and stop being invisible, he can't be invisible while running, and other creatures can still smell him just fine and track him down until he runs out of energy. Really it's easier for him just to create an illusion of a wall to hide behind. His illusions can't mask his smell, taste, or feel.

Conjuration
All objects Arge summons come from real life sources. There is a slight risk with some of the things he conjures because of this. A handkerchief he summoned could have been doused in chemicals by some thug, or a cup of tea could have been poisoned or drugged to harm an enemy or kidnap someone. This risk is miniscule but still present. He can only conjure small inanimate objects such as a glass of water or a feather pen and scroll. He's unable to summon anything if it's larger, anything living, or anything made of metal as it's too dense and heavy a material. He can't summon food but he can summon liquids in cups strangely enough. A simple conjuring would require more energy than a simple illusion as he's less familiar and adept at it. Conjuration like his ability to create illusions can also cause exhaustion. If he seriously over utilizes this ability he can simply keel over and pass out or much less likely die. While his illusions cause a gradual change in energy conjuration will immediately sap a chunk of energy from him making it much harder to gauge his limits.
