I see her where ever I go..
You don't get it now, but when you
hear my story, you may understand.
I was just 16 at the time, and I was
at the beach, with all of my friends,
and others I didn't know who I really was.
I layed down in the soft sand, as
I watched the clouds go by.
A few metres away, I
heard loud chants.
"Fight Fight Fight..."
...
I turned over, and saw all my friends
and the others circuling a
girl at my school, one who didn't fit in.
Sometimes at lunch, I secretly
go over to the library and chat
with her there.
But that only happened twice,
and it was last year.
I haven't talked to her since,
cause I didn't want to look uncool,
with someone who wears tap-shoes
daily, pee's her pants
and someone so anorexic.
They punched, kicked, and hit her with
baseball bats as I watched in
horror. I wanted to go over and stop it
all, just I didn't want to get hurt.
There was a gap in the circle of people,
and there i saw her, dripping with blood.
Her head turned around.
She was pleading for help.
"Help me! Please!"
I turned away, pretending I didn't
know anything was happening.
Everybody walked away,
from her lifeless body,
and got into there cars and
left.
Even my best friend Sarah, who
didn't even check to see if
I was still here or not.
Some friends.
So then I had to walk home,
in the dark all by myself.
First, I walked past the girl.
I thought she was just knocked out,
but I turned her head facing me and...
She was dead.
I knew my friends always
had a problem with her, just I never thought
they would go this far.
Her eyes, wide open
and i could see streaks
of water down her cheeks.
She was covered in blood.
My eyes started to water.
I ran off bawling,
feeling the worst
I ever had in my entire life.
I shuold have stopped them,
thinking it over and over,
as I kicked stones as I walked back home.
I felt like I was being followed.
I heard clicking footsteps behind me.
I paused and turned my head,
but it was nobody.
I turned back around,
and with a great shock, I was
her. In my face. A pale, bloody
sad lookign girl, who was her.
I shook my head and it was just
an old man carrying his shopping bags.
I was just seeing thinks, and
it continued my whole walk home.
I screamed, and began to cry again as
i ran upstairs.
I ran to the bathroom and
looked in the mirror,
at my smudged mascara,
that started to sting my eyes.
In the mirror, I saw her frightning
reflection.
This girl is haunting me.
I went up to my room, and
there she was.
Dripping with blood,
holding a knife.
It was a clear image of her I wouldn't forget.
I grabbed my golf stick
and hit her, a number of times.
She fell to the ground,
dripping with even more blood
than before.
I shook my head again, and it wasn't the girl.
Its was my mother.
I was seeing things. Again.
Turns out, mum had
tomatoe juice on her before,
and a knife in her hand because
she was cooking up dinner.
And then went to put
my clothes on my bed.
My mum, lying dead on the floor.
Because of me and what I thought I saw.
I broke down into tears and stroked
my mums hair.
I locked the door.
I grabbed the knife my mum
was cooking with and
stabbed myself 7 times.
I calapsed next to my dead mother
and before I wrote a note that is on my bed;
Dear family,
I realise what I did was wrong.
Mum didn't deserve this. I will
make this up to my mother.
Goodbye.
My dad broke the door down
a few hours later, and found
us both on the floor.
He was accused of murder,
and sentenced to prison,
and my little sister
was sent over to ireland
to live with my dying nana and
70 year old poppa.
And all this happened because if me.
