Chapter 1

I awoke when i heard the annoying, continues, beeping of my alarm clock, followed by the radio playing. I grumbled and pressed the snooze button with little enthusiasm. I knew though that I f I didn???t get up my mom would come up with a water bottle. So I got up with another grumble and walked slowly to my closet. On my closet there was a large, body-sized mirror that I looked into. My hair was still in the Ponytail I put in last night. But my Brown, blonde streaked hair was everywhere on my head. ??? I look horrible??? I said quietly. I walked into my closet, dragging my feet and looked at the bland selection of clothes I had. ???last day of school, what to wear???? I dug through my clothes and got to the back of my closet. I saw a decent pair of jeans and a white V-neck shirt. I shrugged out of my night clothes and put on my Shirt and jeans. I walked to my desk and picked up my brush and took out my messy pony-tail and started to brush slowly. One stroke at a time. Then I got my green pair of chuck taylors and socks and put them on to. I looked in the mirror one last time and decided to put my hair up in a nice bun. Then I took my glasses off the desk, and got my back-pack off the chair. I then walked down the stairs into my kitchen where my mom was making eggs and pancakes. Her usual ???last day of school breakfast???. Today was my last day of 11th grade, which was apparently important to my mom. I didn???t know why though. And worse then that, in a week it was my 16th birthday, and my parents were shipping me off to my aunt and uncles house for my birthday. Which I didn???t get, but oh well. My Brother then ran over to me with his Tonka toy car and ran it up my arm and said ???Vrrooom! Come on Tess, Say Vrrooom!??? By the way, he???s 5. ???Um, I???d rather not George.??? Then my mother walked towards me and practically shoved a large plate of food towards me. ???Ok sweetie, time to eat, you have to be full for your last day of school.??? I sighed and just picked up the piece of bacon off the plate and took a bite. Then I looked at the clock, it was 7:30. ???On snap. Im gunna be late to the bus mom I gotta go.??? I took my back-pack off the table and yelled as I was going out the door??? Love you mom, love you George! Bye!??? And ran to the bus-stop, hopefully I wont be late???

Chapter 2

My hair raced in the wind as I sailed down Wood street. My Chuck Taylor???s hitting the ground with a ???thump??? as I raced down the street. I looked down at my watch I was wearing and it said it was close to 7:45. The bus usually got here at 7:50 so I guess I was safe. The bust stop was in plain view now, with no bus, So I slowed my pace and walked the rest of the way. When I finally got to the bus stop I saw my friend ,Jennie, leaning on the bust stop sign. ???Hey Tess!??? She said, obviously happy for the last day of school. I just nodded my head in recognition at her. ???Still not happy about your parents shipping you off eh???? Eh? I thought, since when did she say eh? ??? Ya, its Totally unfair. I don???t wanna go of south of nowhere in the middle of a flippen forest!??? My Aunt Rose and Uncle Dan lived in a forest practically, with, like, 3 whole neighbors. And no offense to her neighbors, but there all really weird. ??? well maybe its not going to be that bad. Maybe you???ll have fun.??? Jennie said, trying to cheer me up. ???oh please! There definition of a ???night out??? is going to one of their friends houses and playing cards! And watching politics!??? I threw my hands up in exasperation and then the bus got here. ???well talk in the bus.??? is all Jennie said as we walked into the giant, reeking bus. We walked down the aisle to the back of the bus and slumped in our chairs. One boy looked behind us, and saw us sitting there. ???Hey, hey ,hey girlies!??? He said. ??? Oh. hi Ryan.??? Jennie said, blushing. She had a major crush on Ryan since 6th grade. ???Hi there toots!??? That???s was Ryan???s way of saying ???Hi???, and Jennie knew that that, but blushed whenever he said that, which I found hilarious. I think Ryan was born in the 50???s, but stayed the same age forever, since he used terms like ???Toots??? and ???sweet thang??? and ???sugar cake.???
???We???ll, I guess as you girlies know,??? Oh yea, he says ???girlies??? to, ???Today???s the last day of 11th grade, so watcha going to be up to this summer???? He said, turning all the way around in his chair. ???well,??? I began, ???I am being shipped off to a relatives house in the middle of no where, in a forest. Oh yea, what a fun summer. Whoopee!??? I added that last part sarcastically. ???oh that sucks Tessie Girl.??? Ryan responded, followed by laughing from Jennie, apparently the found the ???Tessie girl??? thing funny. So I just shrugged and Ryan turned to face Jennie. So sweet thang, what are you doin this summer???? Jennie didn???t say anything for a moment, then replied, ???Im going to Europe to visit some family.??? ???Whoa, you have relatives from Europe???? Ryan said, ???I do to!??? So they were bonding now? Well anyway I just sighed, and before I knew it, I was at school.




Chapter 3

I trudged along the hall to my 6th period class, which was P.E. Then decided, I didn???t have to. It was the last day of school, what would skipping one class do? So I turned the other way and ran for it. Right on outside the school door outside. I decided not to leave the school premises, but I just wandered far on the school grounds, to a place where it was shaded and covered in trees. Then as I was walking to the tree???s I ran into someone. I dropped all my stuff I had in my hands and the person said, ???Oh my gosh, im so sorry, I didn???t- Tess? HI!??? ???Angie? Hi Angie! What are you doing skipping P.E???? I realized it was one of my Perfect, Smarty pants friends, named Angie, and I didn???t get why she was skipping. She shrugged and said ???I dunno, I guess I just felt like it. I wasn???t in the mood for it today.??? ???But, like, haven???t you never skipped a class before???? ??? Ya, this is m first time, but it???s the last day, its not like they can give me detention.??? ???Ya, that???s what I thought to.??? Then it got all quiet for a little while, until I sat down, and she sat down next to me and said, ???I cant believe 11th grade is almost over.??? ???I wish it will never end, seriously.??? I said in an acid tone. ???Ya, Jennie told me about that. Sorry bud. Wish I could help.??? ???Nah, don???t worry about me to much, have fun. What are you going to do???? Then I regretted saying that because she is a very chatty person. So I laid down on the grass and listened to her ramble on and on about what she was going to do. After a little while a bell rang signaling the end of the period. ???thank god.??? I murmured silently. ???Aw.. I wanted to tell you so much more to.??? Angie said to me. ???oh well, call me then!??? I yelled as I ran off to the school entry.

I sat in my final class of the day, staring intently at the clock. My teacher, Mr. Stein, rambled on about having a ???safe??? summer. I wasn???t really paying attention, but the clocked edged along towards the big 3. Oh c???mon???.I thought, just one more minute. Then the bell rang. Great. Just about 5 more days until go to my aunt and uncles house.

Chapter 4

It was 4 days later. In just one day, I would be going to My relatives cabin, err, I mean house. I was in my room staring at the ceiling. ??? greaaaaatttt!??? I sighed. ??? One day! Wee!??? So I quietly got up off my bed and trudged off to my wall, with a calendar on it, and checked off today, June 26th , ewe. Tomarrow was my birthday, and the day I get shipped off. I then looked at the clock and saw it was 11:00. ???geez, didn???t think I slept in that late??? hmmm.??? So then I changed into a pair of black sweats and a white tank top. My ???weekend??? apparel. I walked down the stairs slowly and saw my parents at the table eating pancakes. They must???ve gotten up late to. I sat down at the table with them and ate the pancakes left on a plate for me. I started to eat slowly, and quietly. No one said a word for about 5 minutes, so I decided to talk. ???Why are you guys making me go to Aunt rose and Uncle Dan???s house???? They dropped there forks and looked up. The exchanged nervous glances. ???Um, sweetie, why don???t you tell her.??? My dad said to my mom, so my mom cleared her throat and said, ???well, lets just say, we should leave certain things to the experts.??? ???What do you mean??? I said Taking my not-nearly-done plate to the kitchen. ??? Your Uncle and Aunt will tell you everything dear. No need to fret.??? my mother said simply. Oh yes, no need. It was no need to fret that my parents won???t tell me why there sending me off? This was a time to fret. Then the phone rang. I jumped completely forgetting about the phone and my mom looked at the caller id. ???Oh, sweetie its Your Auntie, go outside for a minute or something ok???? My mom said, gesturing me away. ???Umm, ok.??? So I walked away, but not outside, I just ran to the door, opened it, and then closed it so my mom thought I was outside. Then I walked back down the hall and hid behind the wall, and listened to the conversation. I could hear everything. ???Are you all set for tomarrow Lindsey???? My aunt said to my mom. ???Yes, Rose. Thank you for taking her, im glad she will be able to learn from an expert. She couldn???t learn squat from me.??? My mom replied. ???Well that???s because your not??? one of them.??? ???I know, and im glad. Im super glad you became one instead of me, I couldn???t handle that pressure.??? ???Well, You???ll get you to the transformations.??? Transformations? What did she mean? Then my mom interrupted my thoughts by saying, ???Yea, Those.??? I swore I saw her shudder. ???Well,??? My aunt then said, ??? I just hope that the transformation doesn???t happen while she???s still at home.??? ???Ya, that???s why were taking her there as early as possible.??? ???good, that will be for the best, oh im sorry Lindsey, I have to go.??? ???Ok Rose, talk to you tomarrow.??? ???yes, tomarrow.??? Then I heard a click as she hung up. Then I casually walked in, and said, ???what did Aunt Rose want???? My mom jumped around and said, ???Oh, Sweetie, you startled me. I didn???t hear you come in.??? ???well, I did. Now what did she want???? I replied. ???Oh, she just wanted to know if you were ready. That???s all.??? She said plainly, then returing to the dishes. So then I ran up to my room, to try to figure things out???
