The Ghost Town RP Idea. Opinions?

6th Sep 2010 20:26 It???s the early 1900???s, around 1911 or 1912. Set in the American old west, a bunch of teenagers without families find themselves travelling together on horseback. They???ve either lost they???re families from sickness, starvation, because they were murdered, arrested, etc. Each teenagers story is a different one. But, as they were travelling a storm arises. Rain pours, thunder echoes and lightning flashes. Horses are getting startled, and the teens are getting startled as well. On top of the constant threat of bandits and rebels, now there???s a storm. The teenagers can barely stand it, and decide to seek refuge in the next town they travel through. The thing is, the next town they end up in is a ghost town. As they run to the empty houses, little do they know, their horses are getting slaughtered mysteriously, and there also strange occurrences in the houses. Will the teenagers bask in fear in the houses, or will they push through the storm on foot? If you???ve read this far, put ???Yee-haw cowboy??? at the top of your post.
That???s a plot I made up on my own. I will not be happy if anyone copies this.
The roleplay starts out with the teenagers decide to travel together. Then the storm starts, they make it to the town, etc.
Rules ??? Only make as many characters as you can handle
- You can have a sensible weapon, but remember the time period. Nothing much more than a rifle, but pistols/knives are options too.
- You aren???t invincible; your characters will be affected by the storm/fear.
- Remember the time period. Characters appearance (clothes) should be based around that time. That means girls won???t be wearing skinny jeans and a pretty little t-shirt with a design. Most commonly, girls will be wearing long skirts and blouse of more earthy or light colors. Boys, you???ll most likely be wearing ranchers clothes/duster coat/ or whatever you think is appropriate and proper for the time. Or you can just think ???Cowboy??? Whatever floats your boat.
- Violence will happen, but don???t be overly descriptive with goriness.
- If you???ve read this far, do not put what was last said at the top of your post, instead put ???I trust my horse more than a friend??? at the end of your character form.
- You do indeed own a horse, not an automobile, and you don???t travel on foot. You travel by horseback, so that means no carriages as well.
