My random act of kindness was rescuing a wounded dove. It's wing had almost been ripped away and it couldn't fly so I knew it was easy prey for another animal or hawk. I put it in a shoebox, called the vet (who only wanted to euthanize it), then called a wildlife rehabilitator. She gave me instructions on how to treat the wing and care for the bird. After a long period of time, it's wing healed enough that it could fly again! Not as high as before, but certainly enough to protect itself. I named the bird 'Morgan' and when I released it back into the wild, it was wonderful to see it making it's way back into the skies.

My act of kindness was when I was at a restaurant and paid for a Veteran's meal. I thanked him for his service. As I am prior military, I know some of what they are going through. Entering for the turkey glowing egg.

One afternoon, I stopped by the street to buy some coffee in a stall and while waiting I saw a skinny stray dog then I remembered I have some lunch left on my lunch box and I called the dog and gave whatever was left and the dog really ran fast the moment it saw the food. I feel so happy after feeding it cause maybe it was his/her first meal of the day and it was already 5pm that time. Entering for the turkey onesie Smile

I don't need a prize but I love this idea and thought I'd put something in. I used to get migraines (it's much less now) and sometimes I would have to get off the subway train and sit down or even lie down on a bench, and many, many times, I've had people stop to ask if I'm okay or if they can help me. On the other side, if I see people in the subway looking lost or confused, I always stop and ask them if I can help them get to where they're going. Sometimes it even leads to interesting conversations.

When I first joined Mara, Tania (a member of this club) "adopted" me and gave me so many wonderful gifts and tips on things I didn't yet understand! She also invited me to join this club which has been so much fun Smile

This one requires a little backstory, but at one point in my life I had a boyfriend that was pretty terrible to me. A lot of people knew about this for a lot of reasons but largely because he continued to spew terrible things about me for years after our breakup. We were in highschool so drama endured and we often came in contact with one another in classes and such. I worked at a sandwich store and a coworker of mine was friends with him, but at work I was friendly with said coworker. There was day that my ex-boyfriend decided to come in to visit (not to order a sandwich just to say hi to his friend) but my coworker asked him to leave and said he would talk to him later. This really struck me as kind. There was no need for my coworker to ask his friend to leave but yet he still did because he knew the ex-boyfriend made me uncomfortable. Now I've been dating my coworker for a year. Smile

Anyway, long story short, I'm entering for Turkey Tales Wide Grin

There are so many players, in and out of our club, who have been kind to me and I love all of you. The first player I met on Marapets nearly 11 years ago was a 14 year old boy from England named Gabriel. Through all these years, he's kept in touch through Maramail or with a plate I don't have or a photo. He has a special place in my heart. I am not entering for anything so please don't send me anything. I just wanted anyone who reads this to know about this wonderful young man.

My favorite act/ acts of kindness personally was when a few years back I was in an In N Out Burger drive-thru and my meal was paid for by the car in front of me. It was at least a 7 car- long kindness train that I hope continued after me as well! It was really sweet. Entering for the turkey glowing egg please! Thank you!!
