If you're older, they might be embarrassing and feel like they make you look lame, if you're overly worried about what strangers think of you. I'm guessing you've never actually spun a fidget spinner before so you don't get it. You really won't understand until you try it for yourself. It's the same thing as a top or a yoyo. It's fun and addicting, and if you have bad habits like biting your nails or your cheeks or fidgeting/bouncing your leg, it helps. Especially if you're someone who loves or needs to multitask, it's fun to do. I don't believe in it curing stress or anxiety for every person, but it is fantastic thing that it normalized these type of toys for kids that actually really need them. Please try a fidget spinner out before you bash them. They may be lame, but they're fun. Don't care about what other people think, nobody even needs to know that you have one. Do what you enjoy, maybe that'll be spinning a fidget spinner."
