TL;DR
Leprechaun MP to RP ratio is 1 : 6.2
I saved 600k doing 200 quests
Do more leprechaun quests! (but they're more expensive now that the St Patrick's Event has started)

I've been aiming to get the full whirlpool treasure map, but didn't know if I should buy RP with my MP at the usual 1 MP : 9 RP rate, or do some Leprechaun Quests.

So I recorded info about 200 Leprechaun quests to see how much MP I've saved, or if it was worth doing the quests at all (I'm a returning player so I didn't have any idea) Now that the St Patrick's Day event is going on, I thought you all might be interested in the results!

Here they are:
Total MP Spent: 1,542,947
Total RP Received: 238,992
Usual price in MP (1:9 ratio): 2,150,928
MP saved: 607,981

Average MP to RP ratio (total MP spent/total RP received) - 1 MP : 6.2 RP
Median Mp to RP ratio - 5.9

MP spent per quest item
Average 4459.4
Median 4499.5

RP gained per quest
Average 1195.0
Median 1126.0

Quests 100 - 200 needing 9000MP or more = 38
~60% of quests will be worth completing if the avg RP received

17% of the time you will get between 1-499 RP
26% of the time you will get between 500-999 RP
33% of the time you will get between 1000-1499 RP
20% of the time you will get between 1500-1999 RP
2% of the time you will get 2000 RP +

I got 15,000 RP two times in two hundred quests which suggests you'll get 15,000 RP every hundred quests or so.

- 1 item: 43 occurrences
- 2 items: 41 occurrences
- 3 items: 17 occurrences

I also did an additional test because I had a feeling quests were a bit more expensive since the St Patrick's Day Event started. So I compared the MP spent per quest for quests 100-150 (done before the event) to the MP spent for quests 150-200 (done after the event). Made some graphs and had a linear trend line for each. Note the Y-axis scale change. Seems quests have become more expensive.

Which quests are better to do? I have no idea xD
No, I definitely don't feel like 200 is a sufficient sample size and will likely keep recording results from my leprechaun quests. It still provides some useful info though!
I'd like to get a better idea about how often 15,000RP is awarded which'll definitely need a few hundred more quests.

So you're netting roughly 3k profit per quest. While it's profitable there are better quests you can do, but the data analysis you provided is really cool. do you feel 200 is a sufficient sample size?
