26th Nov 2014 13:54 The Beginning
I woke up, today was my sixth birthday. I was so excited, throwing back the covers and getting out of my bed. Misha wasn’t in my room like she always was. Misha is the one who helps me get changed and serves my every want each day, her not being here was not good.
“Misha!” I yelled loudly. “Where are you?”
There was no answer, so I walked over to the stone door and opened it slowly as it was heavy. I looked down the hallway and Misha wasn’t there. Where is my Athosian servant? I thought. She is always supposed to be in my bedroom when I wake up. I walked down the hallway, yelling Misha’s name as I walked down the hall. I opened every door, each of the servant’s rooms where empty.
“Mama!” I yelled, running down the stairs to find my parents.
They were in the throne room, sitting in their big stone thrones, talking in hushed whispers. I ran to them and jumped into my mama’s lap.
“Mama, Misha is gone,” I told her, feeling tears come to my eyes.
“She is,” she said.
My mama knows why Misha is gone. I thought. How can I get her to tell me?
“All our servants are gone now,” she continued. “They were culled by the Wraith.”
I was confused and I just wanted Misha back, she was my servant, my friend, caring for me since I was a baby.
“I want MISHA!” I screamed.
“I’m sorry Emily, Misha is gone now, but I can help you get changed,” my mama said.
“Papa, can you bring Misha back?” I asked.
“I’m sorry, but I can’t, she is gone for good,” he told me. “Let your mother help you for now, until we find you a new servant.”
I sighed in defeat, and let my mother take me back to my bedroom to get out of nightgown.
The Beginning
Emily woke up, feeling excited, today was her sixth birthday. She threw back her purple covers and jumped out of her canopy bed, making her tail wave back and forth, because her Misha always thought that was funny. But today Misha wasn’t in her bedroom, this made Emily worried. She began yelling Misha’s name out loud. Where is Misha? She needs to help me change. Emily thought to herself.
Emily walked over to her bedroom door, it was made of stone and hard for the six year old to open, but she managed after a struggle. She looked down the hallway, it was too quiet. As she walked down the hall she opened each door and looked in each room, all the servants were gone. It took Emily forever to convince her parents to let her have a room in the servant’s hall, as she wanted to be near Misha.
Emily ran down the stairs to find her parents. They were in the throne room, sitting in their big stone thrones, she ran to them and flung herself onto her mother’s lap.
“Mama, Misha is gone,” she told her mother, trying to hold back her tears.
“She is,” her mother replied monotonously.
She knows something. Emily thought.
“All our servants are gone now,” her mother continued. “They were culled by the Wraith.”
Emily felt confused, she was still too young to understand what that meant. What she did know was that she just wanted Misha and she was going to let her mother know.
“I want MISHA!” Emily screamed.
“I’m sorry Emily, but Misha is gone now, but I can help you get changed,” her mother said.
Emily turned to her father. “Papa, can you bring Misha back?”
“I’m sorry, but Misha is gone for good now,” he told her. “Let your mother help get changed for now until we can find you a new servant.”
Emily sighed in defeat, and she reluctantly let her mother take her back to her bedroom to get changed.
The Beginning
Emily woke up, it was her sixth birthday today. She threw back her covers and jumped out of bed. Looking around for her servant girl, Misha.
“Misha!” she yelled for her servant, but there was no reply.
She walked over to her bedroom door, a big stone one, and slowly got it opened and looked down the hallway. There was no Misha in sight, so she began to walk down the hall and opened every door to look into every room. There was no Misha and no servants here. Her mother and been reluctant to let her have a room in the part of the castle. It is the servant’s hall. Her mother thought to herself before finally agreeing to give Emily a room near Misha’s.
Emily quickly ran down the stairs, yelling for her mother. She ran into the throne room and saw her parents on their big stone thrones, she threw herself onto her mother.
She found out that Misha is gone, she thought to herself, we have to hide the truth from her.
“Misha is gone,” Emily said to her mother.
“I know,” her mother replied monotonously.
Emily stared at her.
“All our servants are gone now,” she continued. “They were culled by the Wraith.”
Almost the truth, we traded the servants to the Wraith in order for them to leave us alone, she thought to herself
“Papa, can you bring Misha back?” Emily turned her attention to her father.
“I’m sorry Emily, but I can’t, let your mother dress you for now until we can find you a new servant,” he told her.
Not that she will want another servant, she evened favored Misha over me, her mother thought bitterly as she took Emily back to her bedroom to get her ready for the day.
