I was 9 years old when it happened. I was in Memphis Tennessee with my Mom and brother. We were visiting one of my Mom's childhood friends and her family. I was in their living room talking to the other kids and watching Pokemon. All of us children were waiting for breakfast or lunch, which one I can not remember, when Pokemon ended. One of the adults wanted to watch the news before the next episode came on. So they flipped it over to the new, and their mouth dropped. Soon he called all the other adults into the living room. All of them had shock wrote on their faces, and a few looked as if they could almost not stand. We children did not understand the severity of the situation. All we worried about was getting to see Pokemon. We kept on bugging them to change the channel back, but they were not even listening. Their eyes were glue to the television, and none would not even dare to move. Us children got tired of begging, and so we went to the children rooms and played as if it was another day. Now that I look back, I wish I was old enough to fully understand what was happening at that time. Now that I am older, I understand what I was seeing on the television that had the adults looking so defendless. I still see the television buzzing with static as it showed an airplane crash into a almost invincible looking building... I was seeing an end before me. My stomache hurts at the thought.
