16th Jun 2011 07:52 ???Young blood???, also known in America as ???The darkest hour??? the 4th book from the ???Mediator??? series. Published in 2001 and writen by Meg Cabot, author the of best selling series ???The Princess Diaries???. Young blood is writen for all audiences mostly for girls. Young blood is not based on a true story but some of the things that have happened in this book have happened to the author. The mediator series has been set in California. Suze Simon gets a new job at ???The Pebble Beach hotel??? as a baby sitter, suzannah has the job of baby sitting for the rest of summer, and discoveres interesting things about her client Jack Slater, a 7 year old boy, brother of Paul Slater also a mediator who shares the same gift as Suzannah. Suzannah???s new stepdad and three stepbrothers discover these old letters written by Maria De Silvia to Jessa De Silvia in 1850. Jesse De Silvia is a ghost that was killed in Suzannahs bedroom in 1850 and haunts that single room. Suzeannah is out to find out what is keeping Jesse from going into the next stage after death.
Suzannah Simon, a normal 16 year old mediator (a ghost hunter) is a determind girl that wants to find ghosts and to help them find out; why they haven???t moved on from the next stage after death. Mediators, there are very few mediators in the world, mediators are the only people in the world that can touch, feel, hear and talk to the dead.
My favorite character in this specific book would be Suze Simon because; Suze is not like any other girl in any other books she: isn???t very popular she isn???t dramatic and she isn???t very nice.
My favorite scene in this book would be; when suzannah first gets her job as a baby sitter, and how her first day was.
Another great scene is this book is when; Maria De Silva threatends Suzannah saying ???Tell your fasther and borthers to stop digging or you will be sorry??? as Maria was doing so she held a knife up to Suzannas throat which cut her neck but no serious damage.
I would definantly recomend this book to one of my friends cause the story line and characters.
I wouldn???t make any changes cause I think Meg Cabot got it just right.
