Emergency Appendectomy

Went into the hospital at 8am on Friday for severe abdominal & pelvic pains.
They said it could have been a twisted ovary or appendicitis.
After doing a normal & internal ultrasound, they said it wasn't an ovary.
So, I had to drink the nasty ass contrast stuff for a CT so they could check my appendix.
After waiting 2.5hrs for the damn CT techs to read it, they saw it actually was my appendix.
DR came by & said it was at the very beginning stages of appendicitis & he was going to remove it.
He said it could have probably lasted another week or so, or maybe just a couple days.. He said he'd rather remove a semi-healthy appendix than to wait for it to get worse and/or rupture.
So now I get to sleep downstairs on the couch because I know if I lay down in my bed, I'll never get back up.
