I have learned to be myself
And to try to ignore the comments around me
I have learned that popular rarely means nice
sometimes the nice person is the one
Sitting in the back
All alone
I have learned that it is hard to keep with the fashion trends
Because sometimes they just aren't me
And usually, they aren't anyone
I have learned to cook the right way
Sifting, timing, and Parchment Paper
I have learned that making friends is easy
Losing them is hard
And sometimes it's no one's fault
But mostly I have learned
That under everyone's identities,
Is someone else
Begging to get out
And show the world who they really are
