so I guess my Johnny died. I honestly can't believe it. He was my favorite character out of everyone, he was the one you can't help but to love. He's the one with faults, abusive parents that he loved, but they didn't love him back. The lost puppy looking kid that was found half dead in the field, the quiet one that none of the gang members could hit, because they thought of him as a pet, and they didn't want to go around hitting their pet.
When he was hospitalized I was heart broken, he ran off with Ponyboy because he had killed someone in self-defence. As they came back they noticed their hideout, an old church, had caught on fire. While young kids were trapped in there, he saved them, pushed Pony out of the way, then timber fell on him.
I cried, yes I Rachel, CRIED when they said he was paralyzed from the waste down.
Then I totally broke down, when he died.
Dallas, also known as Dally, had ran off, he loved Johnny a lot, because he had nothing. And I knew something else was going to go wrong, a few hours later, Dally was running to hide out, he had stolen from a grocery store, but stopped under a street light, and was shot..shot! I cried again, my two favorite characters were both killed in the same chapter. I bawled my eyes out, the way they descried it, I'm crying now, as I think about this. They said Darry had a look of pure accomplishment, he knew, and wanted to be killed, even Darry jailed at the age of ten, he had wanted to be killed. And Darry always got what he wanted. Dallas, also known as Darry, jailed at the age of ten, seemed to know no other emotions then hatred, had a breaking point.
