As I ran down the corridor sweat was pouring down my face, as I knew this performance would change my life, and I couldn't be late. I pushed the door open to the main hall to thousands of people, thats when I started to get really nervous.
I quickly ran down the side towards the changing rooms
"Ah! There you are, Leeane, quickly get ready!" Said Miss Lee as she hushed me in.
I looked at the Clock it was 5 past 1 the performance started at 2:00. I Shuffled through my dancers Without Saying hello and ran to my locker, to get my outfit.
My outfit was simple some black leggings and some tight neon pink shorts over the top and a neon yellow vest top with some black leg warmers.
My background dancers had the same outfit but different colours.
I finally went to the beauty room and got my hair and make-up done I checked all the dancers where there and the stage setting was right.
I started to get so paranoid, as the last two dancers had only just arrived and the stage wasn't finished yet.
The time was 1:45 when everything was done so we had enough time for a few run throughs.
5 6 7 8 I called as the music started
We did our steps and I cheked everyone was perfect. I finally calmed down and heard Miss Lee talking to the audience.
"10 minuites till the show starts 5 minuites, get your drinks snaks have a toilet break now" she called
She then walked towards me
"good luck" She whispered, She must have noticed how nervous I looked "It'll be all right, I know you can do this"
"Thanks soo much Miss" I replied.
I was about to do my exam type performance, I had to get everything right as scouters from the top dance companies where there.
I looked through the curtains, saw my boyfriend with my best friends and sister and the rest of my family behind them.
My dad saw me and waved, I waved back but he didn't notice.
I've been dancing since I was 4 and my dad was always the one who encouraged me, took me to my dance classes, watched all my shows and even built a posh glass shelf for my awards and trophies.
My sister used to get jelous of the attention I got from my parents so she waould steal my awards and trophies and would bite them to try and ruin them. She evuentually grew up and stopped. I still have my first trophie my most special one on display in my room award for most talented dancer for my age group.
I heard the bell and ran to stage and stood, waiting.
