Stel laughed cruelly. "Don't mess with me." she growled. "Jack doesn't like you. I do read minds, you know." Stel glanced at Carissa's legs, and they both turned to stone, as Stel had sucked the life out of them. It took away a lot of her energy to be sucking life out of a thing she hadn't brought to life, but it was worth watching Carissa's shocked expression.

Stel stopped just on the porch of Jack's cabin. "Listen, you damn pr.ostitute. Lay your manicured fingers off Jack.
