Still sleeping contently it seemed Kai laid perched on the concil rock of the Sun pack. With a deep exhale he continued on with his deep sleep.

Kira walked out of the large den and into the sunlight. She blinked a few times and stretched. She sat on her haunches and howled.

Kai hadn't slept in the den with the others. He had slept silently on the rock he had used when he scanned the territory. Still sleeping he didn't notice Kira awaken.
