She bounded through a small stream. A faint hissing sound reached her ears. It seemed distant she kept on. She leaped over an exposed tree root. She kept going. Out of no where she fell to the ground. A snake attacked to her shoulder. She let out a yelp of pain and perhaps fear. It wasn't one that could kill but it could paralyze for days.

Kai snorted and moved on. He trotted down the rocks and bushes untill he came to the river. Lowering his head he began to lap at the cold water.
