Kai after several long moments spoke."I'm going to be a father?"He then smiledand nuzzled Fern. She was already much larger than she had been before, anyday now they would come.

Sol suddenly lifted his ears at the call of his name. He was reluctant to turn back to Kira, though he over came it. Walking slowly back he pushed his head through the long grass on the other side of hte river from Kira. He didn't speak, he merely stared at her curiously, waiting.

Kai froze, in an awkward stance. He gulped roughly and spoke in a low tone."Your...going to...have pups?"His eyes were wide as if he were in shock, though he didn't faint. He merely stood there locked in his shock.

Sol growled under his breath."Kai how could you not be dead yet. I have returned and I thought the only way for that to happen was for you to perish and give me my heart. "He glared down at his paws as he walked."Deception, my soul is still here though my blood runs in your veins."

Kira sighed. She knew Kai and Fern wouldn't miss her. Was loner life the chosen life for her? Were all these events signes that she should give up pack life and perhaps follow Sol? At the moment she couldn't do anything...but speak.
