Preview: True Love

----------The Beginning of the End----------

???Well, we are finally married, do you think we should start saving up for a house???? asked Alexis as she drove down the interstate.
???Alexis, you don't have to worry about any of that, I've already bought one, and I think you're going to love it. It may not be the giant luxurious house you're used to, but for now, you're going to love it,??? replied Oreo, digging through the glove compartment for something.
???What are you looking for???? asked Alexis suspiciously.
Oreo didn't answer for a moment until he finally found a small orange envelope and showed it to Alexis. ???This is the lease to the house, I have some pictures in it, and if you want to look at them, pull over and I'll be happy to drive.???
Alexis started to slow down and gradually pulled over. ???Okay, let's switch sides.???
Oreo and Alexis got out of the car and headed to the alternate seats.
???Wow, this house looks great! And for quite a cheap price! And the best thing is that it's---??? she stopped suddenly as she looked at the location it was in.
???What's wrong???? asked Oreo as he noticed the sudden silence. Oreo started to slowly accelerate, as the headed down I-70, going by the exit toward Arches National Park in Utah.
???Aberdeen, North Carolina?! Why the heck are we moving to North Carolina? And why the heck are we going to Aberdeen? Where is that place anyway???? asked Alexis, suddenly furious, and screaming loudly.
???Come on, I mean let's just go there, and it'll be pretty romantic. We'll be in the country mostly, in a town that no one has heard of, and look at the price too, sixty-nine thousand, one hundred seventy-seven Great Britain Pounds with sixty-six cents, isn't that cheap???? asked Oreo.
???A little, but why can't we live in England, where we live now???? asked Alexis, changing her tone to a whiny one.
???We will once we get enough money, I want us to live comfortably, so when we do move back to England, we'll be able to afford a big house for both of us and our kids if we have some by then, we'll be happy, especially you, I know this,??? replied Oreo trying to soothe her.
???You best be right, but you mean to tell me that you've been paying this house for a while now???? asked Alexis suspiciously.
???Exactly, you see I knew you'd want to move out, so I bought this house. I hope you don't mind the train a few meters off.???
???A train? I've always dreamed of living by the railroads, listening to the loud noise of the horn and the soothing sound of the train as it quietly rolls away from the station,??? replied Alexis, suddenly happy.
???Well, I guess you'll enjoy the first few years as we live there, then we'll move back,??? replied Oreo.
???Well what if I want to stay there? I might want to live there for the rest of our lives!??? said Alexis looking up at the sky as if she was daydreaming.
Suddenly a car honked behind Oreo, and Oreo looked through the rear-view mirror.
???What? You're going speed limit aren't you???? asked Alexis, sounding worried.
Oreo honked back and the car pulled alongside of him.
It was Rick.
Oreo pulled over and Rick stopped in front of them. He got out of the car and walked toward Oreo's car.
???What are you doing all the way out here???? asked Rick, surprised.
???That's exactly what I was going to ask you.???
???Oh. I'm out here to visit my parents, you still remember them???? asked Rick. His parents had not seen him since he was fifteen, they were at Las Vegas and decided to stay there, and they had left Rick to manage for himself.
???Yeah, I remember them, where are you headed right now???? asked Oreo, having the flashback of when they got arrested and the police officer had asked him where they were.
???I'm headed for Atlanta's airport, you????
???I'm headed for Philadelphia's airport.???
???Oh. Well, what are you doing here???? asked Rick suspiciously.
???Honestly, we're here looking for a house, and we are on our honeymoon,??? replied Oreo.
???Oh. Well that's nice, why are you moving???? asked Rick sadly.
???Well since we're now married, we decided to settle in.???
???Oh, well what about England? Are you going to leave it all behind???? asked Rick.
???Of course not, we're going to move back to England in a few years. That is a most likely saying, we're not sure.??? replied Oreo wondering why Rick was so sad. Never in his life had he ever seen Rick sad. Not when his parents left him, not when he got arrested, never.
???Well when are you moving over here????
???A few days, we're just going back to get our stuff, pack up, and move out here.??? Oreo grabbed the pictures out of Alexis' hands gently and showed them to Rick.
???What's this???? asked Rick, puzzled.
???It's the pictures of the house, look at them if you wish.???
Rick looked through the pictures quickly and handed them back.
???Is it nice???? asked Oreo.
???Yeah it is but I have to go, I got a flight to catch.??? Rick turned around and got in his car. The tires screeched loudly and he sped off.
???Wow, I've never seen him sad before, he seems so sad all of a sudden.??? said Oreo putting his truck into first gear.
???I know right? I bet he's sad because we're leaving,??? replied Alexis.
???That can't be, he's never been sad, not ever. He was abandoned and he wasn't sad, he got arrested, he wasn't sad, think about it Alexis, it just can't be!???
???Well I'm just saying he might be, it is possible.???
???I guess you're right, we have been friends forever, we know him better than his own parents; let's just go home.??? replied Oreo finally understanding. He put the truck into second gear, and headed down the interstate.

???We need gas,??? said Alexis. ???we crossed the state border already.???
???You're right, we're almost to the Grand Junction, so we'll stop in....??? he looked at the map. ???Fruita, it looks like a rather large town.???
???O.K.???
He drove for a few more miles and saw the exit towards Fruita. They were in Colorado now, it had been about two or three hours since they came across Rick. Oreo exited on the off-ramp, and saw a gas station up ahead.

???Do you want anything???? asked Oreo putting the pump into the truck.
???I'll take care of it, do you want anything???? asked Alexis exiting the truck.
???If you want to... get me a thirty-two ounce soda. Pepsi would be good.???
???Okay, anything else? Chips, candy???? asked Alexis.
???No, that's it.???
Alexis stalked off into the store and bought what Oreo desired and what she desired, which was lemon-salt. She paid, exited the store, and noticed Oreo sitting in the truck, waiting.
???You're done already???? asked Alexis.
???Yeah, I just gotta go pay.???
???Why didn't you go in then???? asked Alexis putting his cup into the cup holder.
???I was not about to leave this truck here!??? exclaimed Oreo jokingly.
???Well go now then.???
???I'm going,??? replied Oreo, getting out of the truck.
When he got back to truck, he silently drove off.
???What's wrong???? asked Alexis after a few minutes of the awkward silence.
???Nothing, I'm just so fatigued all of a sudden.???
???Oh, I see. I'll drive from here, you need to rest,??? replied Alexis suddenly realizing how much he has driven.
