My grandpa died of cancer two summers ago. It had already progressed to Level 4 when they found it, so there really never was any hope that he would make it. He suffered through chemotherapy for a little while and then just decided to try to live the rest of his life on his own. It does get hard to think about him sometimes, but I know that, wherever he is now, he isn't hurting anymore. My grandpa was the sweetest, kindest, most generous man you could ever meet and didn't deserve to get cancer.
