Through out the years of marapets, there has always been those few people who use something called "chat speak"
WHAT IS CHAT SPEAK?
Chat speak is when someone refers a normal word to a letter or a shorter way of writing it down.
Example: CHAT SPEAK: How r u doin? TRANSLATION: How are you doing?
O.K. CHAT SPEAK
Ok: Okay
Lol: Laugh out loud
brb: Be right back
g2g: Got to go (though is still annoying)
Rofl: Roll on floor laughing
nm: Nothing much (annoying but ok)
MISUNDERSTOOD CHAT SPEAK
wtf: what the f@#$% (This is rude and against rules)
Lmao: Laugh my @#$ off (RUDE)
ANNOYING CHAT SPEAK

There is many ways to use chat speak, most newbies use numbers in their words, it matters who, most people catch chat speak from instant messenger.
At times, its okay to use chat speaks, but to most people who have to read chat speak, find it annoying.
My suggestion is that you try to use chat speak only occasionally.
Chat speak is ruining our Internet society.
STOP IT, put this on your blog and help promote helping people understand chat speak and its newbish-ness.
