Ah. Guy Fawkes. Amazing what they tried to do. And now I get to write a research paper on it. I can't wait!

Sarah//: To all quitting.

Here is a little blurb from a good teacher friend of mine. He is the voice of reason. This was posted on another site, but I've decided to repost it, since it fits on here as well.

"Once upon a time, there was a little boy who was a user on the forums. One day, just to see what people would do, he cried, "I'm leaving!" There was a huge commotion. Everyone pleaded with him not to leave and told him how sorry they'd be to see him go. He enjoyed the commotion.

A few weeks later, he cried, "I'm leaving!" again, and once again there was a huge commotion and everyone pleaded with him not to leave and told him how sorry they'd be to see him go. Again, he enjoyed it.

After he had "left" several times, people eventually became wise to the ploy. Finally, there was a major issue that caused a huge rift on the site. The little boy once again cried, "I'm leaving," and this time he meant it. However, the users just shrugged, said "He'll be back," and went about their business.

Moral: As with the boy who cried "Wolf," don't be like the boy who cried, "I'm leaving!" If you want to leave, leave and don't look back. If you don't want to leave, don't pretend otherwise."

Sarah//: STOP THE COMPLAINTS!!!

If you have read the latest edition of the editorial, you will realize how hard of a worker Ian really is. He gives up the time he should be sleeping, to make this site GREAT for all of you. Instead of thanking him you complain and moan.

When the new male doll comes out, with new hairstyles for the guys, you complain because it is Zac Effron. He didn't have to release anything. Everyone on the forums is whining about how they don't want anything relating to Disney, or Hannah Montana. Who cares? He never had to release dolls in the first place! Aren't you all forgetting about Laimay who also slaves over this website, to give you all your pixels?

Instead of complaining, maybe you should thank Ian the next time you see him. Thank any staff member you may see. They give many hours to this website, which they didn't have to do.

I've had QUITE enough of all the complaining going on. At first, I thought Mara was beginning to slow down because newbies that used chatspeak were beginning to annoy the hell out of people. However, I have been proved wrong. The most annoying thing, the thing that has REALLY gotten me ticked off about Mara, is THE OLDER MEMBERS.

Yes, THE OLDER MEMBERS.

Why?

BECAUSE THEY COMPLAIN ABOUT **EVERYTHING**!!!

Okay, let me break this down. I UNDERSTAND that many people don't like Zac Efron or Avril Lavigne or whatever and are mad about that and want the "good" and "real" singers/actors. Well, let me tell you. I'm not too fond of Efron or Lavigne either. I would love there to be other singers/actors. But HONESTLY, there is NO need to make a million topics on the restricted forums about this! WE GET THE POINT. GIVE IAN/STAFF SOME CREDIT. THEY ARE DOING WHAT THEY THINK IS THE BEST FOR THE SITE.

And it's not just about new things, older members are complaining about newbies as well. I see that they're annoying, I feel it too, but YOU were a newbie once, for goodness sake! And if you aren't one of the people complaining about the things I said, I'll make a list. Skinny costume, chatspeak, clothes, characters, AUs, no new pets, THE LIST HAS NO END! Honestly, if you don't like Mara the way it is, just LEAVE. Which comes to something else -- people leaving. There are SO many boards about older members leaving. Well, GET A LIFE! You don't KNOW these people, and even if you do, respect their choice of leaving! if you're mad that they left, LEAVE yourself! STOP making a huge deal out of something so small!

Okay, my rant is done. But please take something out of this and STOP being an annoying complainer of an older member, or just a complainer at all, and let the rest of us ordinary people enjoy Mara in PEACE.
