Elfember is the season for giving but not every Marapet may deserve to be rewarded. Krampus is back and will be here until January 1st.

High above Biala, in the cold and frozen mountain ranges, lurks the Krampus. Leering down upon the village, he waits every year for his chance to kidnap naughty Marapets! He watches pets all year, keeping a list of the naughty and the nice. As Christmas draws closer and closer, the Krampus reveals himself in the month of December. He offers gifts to especially well behaved Marapets. If you're feeling brave, you can ask him for gifts for your pets. If your pet has been naughty, he might just punish them...



Pets wearing an Advent, Angel, Blitzen, Christmas, Christmas Tree, Elf, Gingerbread, Ice, Polar, Seasonal, Snow, Snowman, Tundra or Winter Costume can visit Krampus every 15 minutes. All other pets can visit every 30 minutes.

The Angel Costume was first released in June 2006 in Account Upgrades and the costume has been retired and forgotten about ever since. A new version of the Angel Account Upgrade has been released, with 7 new Angel themed items and either a Angel coloured Vixen or Kaala Enchanted Plushie. This AU will retire January 15th.




The Basil, Bolimo, Decadal, Eyru, Flab, Jessup, Raulf and Straya can now wear the Angel Costume.



Most of the oldest and worst Angel pets have been updated to match the new style.

Santa Claws has stopped his normal Quests until January 1st. Instead of rewarding you MP for completing his quest, he will instead give you one entry to his New Years Raffle. The more quests you complete, the more entries you will have. The New Years Raffle will be announced late January.

There will be 100 winners of 1,000,000MP, 3 winners of £25 Account Upgrades Credit, 10 winners of £10 Account Upgrades Credit and 25 winners of £5 Account Upgrades Credit.

There is a shortage of Gobbles in Marada. With Talon frightened that he will be cooked instead, he has hired a replacement Zurple until December 11th. Zurple is Burple's colourful sister, Burple is Gurple's even uglier cousin and Murple is Burple's best friend's neighbour. Murple is an original Gobble, too ugly and unpalatable to be eaten. Are you brave enough to fight him in the Battle Arena? Visit the Talon Quest page and start a quest. You then battle and win against Zurple and go back to the quest page to complete it. He will reward you with MP or these new Thanksgiving Prizes that will retire after December 11th.

A new Quest has been released in Foxfire Forest. Complete all 16 pieces of the Carpenter Treasure Map, which is on sale at Rapunzel's Tower, to gain lifetime access to this new quest. Chippy the Carpenter will ask you to bring him random items he needs and he will reward you with MP.

You may also win new Toy Blocks which will be needed for a new Puny Pyramid that will be released next year. If you are really lucky, you may complete a quest when he has no MP or Toy Blocks avaliable. When this happens, he will instead promise to fix the next Toy that your pet breaks!

We successfully completed Server Maintenance this week without any downtime. The main PHP server nodes in our cluster have increased from 17 to 26. All have been upgraded and MaraPets is now running faster and more stable than ever. If you haven't noticed a difference, that's great too as visitors to the site have been twice as many as last month and we're running great. Thanks to all of our supporters who help to keep us open!

Our Maraween Character Trick or Treat has just started. It will end automatically on November 15th. To take part in Character Trick or Treat, all you need to do is dress your character up in an approved Halloween Character Costume, . Then you can visit the profile of any player that is currently online, hit the Trick or Treat button and receive a prize every time! You can only Trick or Treat each person once per day and you will receive MP or an item. All of these item prizes will retire at the end of this event too!

A new Maraween Pumpkin Hunt has just started for 2018. It will last until November 21st. As you browse and play the site as normal, check out every page for a Pumpkin in a box. When you find it, click it and you may get a prize! These prizes are listed below. You may also win a Pastel Costume! The 250 different players who collect the most pumpkins will receive 1,500,000MP and a limited edition Possessed Ian Trading Card. The next 250 will just get a Possessed Ian Trading Card.

This year, 10 random players who will collect 100 pumpkins or more will win £10, 15 will receive £5 and 20 players will receive £2 Account Upgrade Credits!

Back again for 2018 Maraween! The Enpiah Alien was trick or treating in Undying Woods last night and was bitten! Until November 15th, the Halloween Alien has new items that he will put up for Auction for only 1MP. These items will retire at the end of the event. If you are really lucky, you may catch a very rare or retired Halloween item! There are 4 new prizes for 2018.

Our first Maraween event has started. The Pot of Gold has been magically transformed into the Pumpkin of Gold. Until November 12th, only Halloween Treats can be donated. You can pick up one item from the Pumpkin of Gold every 5 minutes. New prizes will be donated randomly throughout the day.
