Our Christmas Carol Singing Event has just started. It will end automatically December 31st. Everyone can take part for FREE! You can visit the profile of any player that is currently online, hit the 'Sing Carols' button and you may receive a prize. You can only visit each person once per day and you will receive MP or an item. All of these item prizes will retire at the end of this event too!

If your character is wearing an approved Christmas Costume you are guaranteed an item or MP prize at every visit. Players without the costume can still take part, but on average only a quarter of all visits will receive an item! This means that players with an approved costume will win 4 times more item prizes!

Wet from the Rain? It doesn't matter at the Jenoa Scratchcards! Another of our oldest features has been relaunched.

These are now very similar to the new Dukka Town Scratchcards but with slightly different prizes. We have changed the price of these from a Five Dukka Coin to 2,500MP! There were originally 8 different Jenoa Scratchcards and now there are 10. This means that the lowest value scratchcard before is now in 3rd place - this should help offset the drop in the price to buy these cards now.

It's going to take more than a little Rain to stop the Christmas Elf!

Elf has returned to Marada just in time for Christmas! Make your account look festive with lots of red and green because Elf will be visiting profiles, looking for members with a festive themed doll and rewarding them with gifts. Elf will also be showing up on the forums with give aways for deserving players who have festive dolls, signatures and avatars. You could get rare and retired items or even a festive LE pet.



You do not have to have a festive costume, you can dress up your doll in red, green and gold or silver and white for a frosty look.

If you are a younger player and you do not have access to forums you can still take part. Elf will visit profiles picked randomly from the Online list so make sure you are ready in case Elf drops by.

As you all know, the Rain has totally flooded Lush Lake and forced the shops in this world to close. The flooding has been a nuisance for players looking to fill their pottery at The Lake as it's also closed for safety reasons. A local resident who ignored these warnings and visit anyway was heard saying It should flood more often - it's never looked so good!


While the Rain has most of Marada staying inside, these Bugs are actually going outside! You can catch these now at the Crevice in the City Sewers.


The Rain has also been washing a lot more trash into the City Sewers. Visit the Trash Heap and you may win one of these new prizes.

The winners of the Maraween Pumpkin Hunt have been announced. Congratulations to all winners! If you won, you will have an alert and your prizes.

It's the third day of Rain in Marada and Borak still isn't getting enough frozen items to make any snow. He needs more help!!

There are other ways for your pets to wrap up in this Rain. Twelve more Mummy Pets have been updated to the new design.

Another day of Rain on what should be the start of Elfember. The residents of Marada have quickly adjusted to these conditions and there is some hope now that Borak can make it snow in time for Christmas!

The Rainy Costume was first released in March 2011 in Account Upgrades and the costume has been retired and forgotten about ever since. A new Rainy Account Upgrade Set has been released, with 7 new Rainy themed items, a retired Rainy Costume and either a Rainy Enchanted Plushie or Rainy Potion. This set is on sale until January 10th. You can choose if you would like the main prize to be an Enchanted Rainy Plushie or Potion. There is 1 in 3 chance you will receive a limited edition Snookle instead of Azul, Fasoro or Feliz.





The Astro, Gizmo and Huthiq can now wear the Rainy Costume and the older pets have all been updated to the new design.

BREAKING NEWS
The Heatwave has ended. All of the frozen items you have been bringing to Borak has actually worked. Well, almost! There was a shortage of frozen items and it wasn't quite enough for Borak to make snow. It's raining instead. With the hot weather behind us, most of Marada is back to normal - including the frozen shops in Biala. Can we all bring Borak enough frozen items now to make it snow and Save Christmas?

Heatwave items are not retired but now that it's raining and not a heatwave in Marada, they are not currently available. If you haven't already noticed, Marapets has a new rainy layout and the Cleaning Products shop also has a new shopkeeper!

Completing a level on any Mission during this rain and you'll win one of these new Umbrellas for your Wardrobe.


The Books, CDs, DVDs and Video Game Shops all have a 2 for 1 special on all items to help you keep your pets entertained inside while it rains.

The rain has made the Lake in Lush Lake flood. For your own safety, you cannot currently visit.

With Lush Lake flooded from the rain, the Coffee, Contact Lenses, Hair Dye, Lipsticks and Olympic Shops are all closed.

With the miserable rainy weather outside, pets are concentrating better at School, the Gym, Elite Gym and University and earning Double Stats.

Pets are all working harder at their jobs as it rains outside. This means there is TRIPLE the chance of receiving a Job Promotion random event and DOUBLE the chance of the promotion actually being given by your pet's boss!

This rain has the residents of Marada doing a lot more indoor activities, like Shopping. But it also is a chance for Shopkeepers like you to increase your shop sales and the amount of items you have on sale! Upgrading your Shop Size is currently Half Price!

And finally, Queen Eleka will be giving out extra FREE Loyalty Raffle Tickets for players who fill up and price their own Shops. While she won't reveal her secret formula, the more new items you add and price in your Shop, the more extra tickets she will give out!

Its December 1st and the Advent Calender didn't work as it should today. It will work for the rest of the month as normal but today's prize can be claimed at the Vault instead, using code 15-YEARS-AND-STILL-CANT-GET-IT-RIGHT. Visit Biala Mountain every day during the month of December to receive two FREE items and MP - Christmas Day you will receive Account Upgrade Credit! All prizes will retire at the end of each day.

It's December and the Heatwave continues. The Gobble is the latest pet to be shaved and all other pets have been updated to match the new style.

The Gobble is back again this year - just in time for Thanksgiving! These new, random Gobble Enchanted Plushie and Potions are at the Account Upgrades Shop. You can view the Full List here. They will automatically retire December 10th.





The Gobble can now wear the Candy, British and Bootleg Costumes. The Zombie Gobble has also been updated.


The Heatwave has turned our Maradan winter into summer. For a limited time only, the retired Summer Treasure Chest from 2015 is back on sale at the Account Upgrades Shop. It will automatically retire again December 15th.

One of our oldest features, the Dukka Town Scratchcards has been relaunched. It still costs a Two Dukka Coin to buy a scratchcard once per hour, or 30 minutes with the Scratchcards Giftbox but almost every thing else has changed. Scratchcards no longer need to be 'used' in your Inventory - they're now toys for your pets to play with in this way instead. Any Dukka Town Scratchcard you have in your Inventory can be scratched at any time at the Scratchcards game page.

There are still the same 10 different Scratchcards and if you had any that were not scratched before, they were returned to your Inventory a few days ago. Each card is rarer than the next, with higher chances of winning and bigger prizes on each. There is a new Mega Jackpot which is a combined MP jackpot with Dukka Town, Jenoa (relaunching soon) and Vortex Park (coming soon). All three of these scratchcard games will add to this jackpot and all can win it. Each scratchcard kiosk also has it's own Jackpot.

The Dukka Town Scratchcard kiosk has brand new artwork and is easier to navigate and play now. You also actually SCRATCH each Scratchcard when you play now - and this also works on mobile! It's almost Thanksgiving in the United States and we would like to wish all of our players celebrating a very happy Thanksgiving. Everyone at Marapets is thankful for each and every one of you!

There is a shortage of Gobbles in Marada. With Talon frightened that he will be cooked instead, he has hired a replacement until December 11th. The Heatwave in Marada has had tragic consequences for the Urple family. Zurple (Burple's colourful sister), Burple (Gurple's even uglier cousin), Murple (Burple's best friend's neighbour) and Murple, the original Gobble (too ugly and unpalatable to be eaten) are now extinct. Talon has instead hired Plucky. Are you brave enough to fight him in the Battle Arena? If you are, accept his quest below and make your way to the arena for a fight! If you win, he will reward you with MP or these new Thanksgiving Prizes that will retire after December 11th.

This Heatwave has brought even more pests from Enpiah to Marada!
The Basil, Decadal and Gizmo can now wear the Enpiah Costume.

Even more pets have given in to the Heatwave!
The Crindol, Daisy, Flab, Kidlet, Lati and Murfin are the latest pets to have the updated Shaved Costume design.

The Addow, Arinya, Astro, Basil, Ercuw, Kronk, Reese and Zetlian are now wearing the updated Mummy Costume.

We're now two weeks into the Heatwave and with Elfember in less than 13 days, Maradan residents are trying every thing to put an end to this hot weather.

Borak has a crazy plan but he needs your help!

He thinks that if he has enough cold and frozen items, he can create his own snow up in the clouds of Nimbus. Bring him frozen items that he asks for, such as Frozen Food, Ice Cream, etc and he will now reward you with these new BBQ Tools instead of the usual Cooking Utensils.

Ten days of this Heatwave has started to get a little too much for some residents of Marada. These pets have gone to drastic measures to cool down! The Chibs, Fasoro, Hump, Justin and Kaala are the first pets to have the updated Shaved Costume design.


The Daylight Fairy has listened to the advice of both the Historian and the Earth Fairy and she believes that if any place in Marada can stop this weather it is Nimbus. She has rounded up all of the residents of Nimbus to try and find a plan. She also now has 12 new prizes for players who have up to 710 stamps in their collection.

The Currency Exchange feature in Vortex Park has been updated. It has new artwork and a brand new design that will make it much easier to use. We have also updated Maramail, Alerts, Friends and Feeds with our brand new design!



The Price Checker feature has been updated. The old version was very outdated, with the check price information loading into an iframe. Although this worked well for us for many years, it's becoming more and more difficut to make this work well for everyone and limited how much information/space we could squeeze into a tiny frame. The iframes themselves took up a lot of space and it was a lot slower. The new Price Checker now loads on the page in to a floating pop up box that you can close. You can also change how you want links to open at the Shop Search page.

The Earth Fairy knows every world in Marada inside out. She is a climate expert and earlier today she was quoted saying: 'Unless we act fast, this warm weather will be permanent'
The Earth Fairy has 10 new prizes for her rewards. You now earn prizes for completing all Goals.


The Osafo, Paffuto, Poera and Pucu can now wear the Leopard Costume.

It's officially a week since the Heatwave hit Marada and there is no end in sight. Elfember is in less than 18 days and with the elves not making any new Toys, there is talk of having to cancel all Christmas events this year! In the meantime, the Toy Shop still has to make an income, so it is now restocking 63 different Twigs that they had in storage, waiting to be made into toys.




Players who have completed all 30 Stamps for the Games page of their album can now receive 10 new item prizes, a medal for their profile and 25,000MP.
