After a couple of days of rain a beautiful
Rainbow appeared in the skies above Marada. The rainbow may just be with us for today but this time it brought a huge upgrade to the much loved
Lush Lake. Home to the Rainbow Fairy, Lush Lake had remained almost the same as when it was first disovered in August 2006.
BREAKING NEWSAfter a couple of days of rain, it's slowly stopping and the sun has come through, creating a beautiful
Rainbow. The
Rainbow Fairy informs us that a rainbow in Marada lasts around 6 to 24 hours usually but she thinks this time it'll be around for about
48 hours or 72 hours at the most!
What happens when there is a Rainbow? Well...
All
Rainbow Pets will receive FREE training at the
Gym and
Elite Gym and FREE lessons at the
School and
University.
Whenever there is a rainbow in Marada, the
Operations Portal,
Whirlpool,
Vortex Park Reservoir and
Foxfire Pond are
guaranteed to change your pet's colour, species or both!
The
Account Upgrades Shop has a
2 for 1 promotion on all
DNA items.
With all the beautiful colours in the sky,
Drew doesn't need any more colour! He will only ask for the colour white, which is default for every player. This means you can complete his quests without the Glowing Egg collection requirement.
Play a game of
Colours during the rainbow and even if you lose a game, you will still be a winner! Win, draw or lose this game and you'll get
2,500MP and a random colour
Transformation for one of your pets.
Your pet will change to a random colour and/or species and then change back, possibly earning a new transformation for its collection. If you have the Pet Stats Giftbox in your collection, you can also select which pet will receive this transformation before you play!The

Whenever the rainbow appears, the retired

Storm Maranormous but it can also turn into a beautiful
Rainbow.
As always, whenever there is
Rain in Marada the following happens:
The rain has brought with it stronger winds, causing the
Windmill to spin faster and generate more electricity. You will be
guaranteed to gain a stat for your pet from it and all electricity bills will be FREE at the
Power Station.
Completing a level on any
Mission during this rain and you'll win a random
Umbrella for your Wardrobe.
The
Books,
CDs,
DVDs and
Video Game Shops all have a
2 for 1 special on all items to help you keep your pets entertained inside while it rains.
The rain has made the
Lake in Lush Lake flood. For your own safety, you cannot currently visit.

Lush Lake flooded from the rain, the

Maraween 2020 is finishing with 10 new
High Score Rewards that you can win every time you reach a certain score playing the
Pumpkin Patch game.
Remember, this game gives you the chance to feed up to 20 different gourmet Pumpkins to your pet from any Pumpkin Hunt events. If you earned these already this year but didn't redeem them, the 2020 Pumpkins have been added to this list now if you wanted to redeem it for this and sell the Pumpkins you win instead.
A loud
Maraween cackle shook the Undying Woods today. Whatever or whoever it was is unknown but we now have a
Cursed Clock Tower! Visit it between now and November 1st to gain TRIPLE STATS and then DOUBLE STATS until November 9th.

The Enpiah Alien was trick or treating in Undying Woods last night for
Maraween and was bitten. Until November 9th, the
Halloween Alien has new items that he will put up for Auction for only 1MP. These items will
retire at the end of the event. If you are really lucky, you may catch a very rare or
retired Halloween item!
There are 10 new prizes for 2020 - you can win a maximum of one auction every
3 hours and whenever you win an item, any bids you have on any other Halloween Alien auctions are removed.
The Pet Auctions feature has been discontinuedPets have never been 'for sale' on MaraPets - they are not property, they are pets! They were to be cared for and if you no longer wanted a pet, you could disown or trade to a player who would want it. This has always been one of the most important rules on MaraPets - pets are not for sale. We started Pet Auctions in 2012 as a trial, to see if allowing pets to be sold here would work. After a week, we didn't like the results and stopped Limited Edition or Restricted species of pets from being sold. For years this was fine and they almost replaced the Pet Pound as a way to disown pets and for people to bid on pets they wanted.
Pet Auctions have never been a popular feature and are hardly used. A huge percentage of those who do use it do so to profit from Pet Names or to cheat (like transferring currency they gained from a multiple account). Selling pets does not make sense here and it is a lot of work to keep a feature like this open and updated when it's hardly used or used in a way it was never created to be. We have much better plans to improve the Pet Pound, Pet Trades and other plans in the future and with Pet Auctions removed, we can purge old pet names more often now!
Even more pets can celebrate
Maraween now! The Sindi, Viotto, Wallop and Zola can now wear the
Halloween Costume and the Addow, Azul and Rofling can now wear the
Evil Clown Costume. The Evil Clown
Account Upgrades Set automatically
