Queen Eleka, with help from the Dark Fairy and her minions has declared War. After years of peace and prosperity, it looks as though King Baspinar's reign over Marada may come to an end. That is, unless, you can help!

Within the next 24 hours you will all be given the choice to join either the Light Side or the Dark Side in this upcoming war! Remember, if you choose to fight for Queen Eleka, you will have restricted access to the light side of Marada. And if you decide to fight for King Baspinar, you will have restricted access to the dark side of Marada. You also have the choice to not take part in this war event.

Who will you fight for?

The Marada, Baspinar's Castle, Simeria, Vortex Park, Kamilah Desert and Gigantic Paradise World Maps have now been updated. We hope you like our new 'Places to Visit' list underneath each map.

These new Speiro Plushies and Enchanted Speiro Plushies have been added to the Plushie Machine.

NEW GAME
The Dark Fairy has been added to Eleka's Castle. She enjoys spending her time making the lives of other Maradans worse off. As one of Queen Eleka's minions, she raises money for Queen Eleka to help her with her plans to take of Marada. Since losing the Minipet Island War of 2007, Queen Eleka has been under the constant watch of King Baspinar to prevent her from starting another war. Although the King doesn't know this, the Dark Fairy has been busy raising the money for Queen Eleka to start a war.

You can visit her once every 3 days and give her 100,000MP to support her cause. If you are lucky, she may throw a prize at you. But don't expect much from her. You won't even get a thank you.

The Biala Mountain world map page has been updated. You can now visit all shops, features, games and activities from this world by clicking on the map or viewing the new 'Places to Visit' organised list underneath the map.

These new Figaro Plushies and Enchanted Figaro Plushies are now on sale in the Olympics Redemption Shop.




The Enchanted Troit Plushies have now been added to the Fugunzel's Tower Mission prizes. When you complete this mission, there is now a 1 in 3 chance that you will receive a random Enchanted Troit Plushie instead of a Troit Potion.

The chances of receiving a Hieroglyphic item from the University has been increased.

The Worm Digging game has been improved. There is now more chance of winning a Worm item and the MP rewards have been increased.

QUESTS UPDATE
All Quest Games have been updated. You should now find that quests that ask for any item on the game, such as Elger's Haunted House, the list of items that they will ask for automatically changes daily, removing items which have become too expensive and adding items which have decreased in price. This should permanently fix these. All other quests have had a few changes to make them a little easier and more profitable.

NOTE - this means that items that were removed before, such as Plates and Photos, may be asked for again if there are enough of them currently in circulation and will be removed the next day if they are no longer are.



The Shop Search has been improved. You can now quick buy items without the 25MP fee. We have also added a quick buy link to the price check, so you can buy the lowest item on the Shop Search in just one click.

The Queen Eleka loyalty prize items are now being given out.

Price Changes have returned to Dukka Caves.

We have added a new Default Pet feature. When you view your pets page, click on their name and it will set that pet as your default pet. Your default pet will automatically be selected when you go to Battle.

These new Troit Plushies and Enchanted Plushies have been added to the Plushie Machine.




The Limited Edition Account Upgrade items are no longer on sale. We will release some new ones soon.

NEW FEATURE
Queen Eleka has been locked up since she lost the Mini Pet Island war of 2007. Five years have since passed and she has convinced King Baspinar to release her. She says that she is no longer evil and to prove it she will also give out new Loyalty Prizes to all citizens of Marada, just like King Baspinar does. While the King rewards your loyalty based on how long you have been playing Marapets for, Queen Eleka will count the number of unique days you have visited Marapets, starting from today, February 5th 2012. Do you really think Queen Eleka can be trusted.....?

We have removed all bones, plates, photos, concoctions and balls of yarn from being asked on certain quests, such as Elger's Haunted House. This should make them a lot easier to complete now.

There are 3 new Giftbox items now on sale. The Missing Food Giftbox will list all of the Gourmet Food items that you pets haven't eaten yet, the Missing Learnable Giftbox will list all of the books, cds and dvds that your pets are missing and the Quests Giftbox cuts the time you need to wait for a quest to finish in half!

ACCOUNT UPGRADES
There is very limited stock of all of the Limited Edition account upgrade items currently on sale. We expect that most, if not all of these items will be sold out within the next couple of days. This is your last chance to get hold of these items!

The Doll Maker has been removed and replaced with Change Gender feature.

This new Dark Fairy Costume will be released soon. The Daisy, Doyle, Flab, Gizmo and Nino are the first 5 pets avaliable in this costume.

The Mordo is now avaliable in baby, minipet and toddler costumes.



As promised, the Advent Tree prizes have been doubled. When you claim your prizes you will receive 2 of each item and if you have already claimed them, the duplicates are now in your Inventory.

We have added 2 new Giftbox Items to the Account Upgrades page. The Missing Plates Giftbox gives you access to a new page at your plate album listing all of the plates you are missing from your collection. The Missing Photo Giftbox does the same for your photos.

MAINTENANCE UPDATE
We would like to apologise to all players today that have experienced Server Errors for a couple of hours today. We had hoped to complete our upgrade during off peak but it took longer than expected. It is all finished now and you should notice the site running a lot faster and without any errors. Thanks for your patience guys!

We have updated and improved the Pet Colours section in Gigantic Paradise. Each species of pet now comes with a description, name pronunciation and link to all related items. You can also view a new Pet Colour page for each pet colour. This page will tell you how many of each pet colour are in Marada and let you know if the Enchanted Plushie, Potion, Plushie and Photo is avaliable yet!

We have added Price Checker and Item Rarity to Galleries.

We have added all the missing Pet Photos and Minipet Plates. We have also updated the old photo items. There is now a total of 1,779 photos and 1,904 plates to collect!

AUCTIONS
We have done an upgrade on Auctions today so they process instantly without any delays. We have had to cancel all current auction lots and remove them back to your Inventory. Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.

We have also added Auction Alerts when you have been outbidded on an item auction lot. You also have the option to turn these alerts off at any time.

TRADING FEES
We have changed the fees you need to pay for pet trading, exchange and auctions. The fees are now calculated at 60MP per stat, 300MP for each book, cd or dvd collected and 400MP for each gourmet food, musical instrument or spell. The fee for a limited edition or restricted pet has doubled. The changes will mean that the fees will increase for some pets but decrease for others.

After a week long trial of the new Pet Auctions we have made a couple of changes. You can no longer sell Limited Edition or Restricted species of pets. These pets can only be traded for other pets via Pet Trades or Pet Exchange.

NEW FEATURE
We have just released Pet Auctions as a new feature to the site. You can use it to sell any of your pets for MP or to bid for any other pets that are up for Auction. This is the ONLY way that you are able to sell your pet. If you want to send someone a pet, use the Pet Exchange and if you want to trade your pet for another pet, continue to use the Pet Trades.

ANYONE FOUND TRYING TO SELL THEIR PET BY ANY MEANS OTHER THAN PET AUCTIONS WILL HAVE THE PET CONFISCATED AND THEIR ACCOUNT MAY BE FINED OR FROZEN.

IMPORTANT - pet auctions work exactly the same as item auctions. Once you have listed your pet for auction, the highest bidder will become the new owner of your pet for the price that they bid. The buyer will also be charged pet trading fees, which you as a seller will not receive.

We have increased the total number of pets you can have from 24 to 28 with the use of Extra Pet Giftbox items.
