RULES FOR SIGN-UPS:
-You MUST have photos available of your character, such as a wikipedia page.
-Your character must be a legitimate musician, and not the drummer of your next-door neighbor's band.
-Just because you post on this blog, does ~*NOT*~mean that you are in SCDH. You may NOT dress up your character, use a SCDH12 siggie, OR otherwise impersonate your character UNTIL you have been added to this blog by the team leader.
-You MUST fill out the sign-up form (below) TO THE LETTER. This includes every single space and dash and capitalization.... I'm going to be really anal about this!! : D
-Your character does not have to be part of a band, like Pete Wentz from Fall Out Boy. They may be a solo artist, such as Britney Spears (me! ).
-There are NO duplicate characters. HOWEVER, you may have "alter egos" of characters. I am Britney Spears, but someone else may be "Male, homosexual, hippie Britney Spears." But we want you to be creative, so "brown-haired Britney Spears" or "Chris Brown during the Jordin Sparks collaboration" will not be accepted (and we don???t like things like ???emo??? or goth??? versions of stuff). Transgender, cross-dressing, transvestite are all very welcome. *THIS IS YOUR OPPORTUNITY TO SHOW HOW CREATIVE YOU ARE. THE MORE UNIQUE THE CHARACTER, THE MORE FUN IT IS TO PRETEND TO BE THEM, AND THE MORE FUN IT IS FOR OTHER PEOPLE ;D.* Amazing examples from previous years: Gay Dumbledore (which ended up actually being canon and we were all kind of disappointed), Tranny Apollo (the person who played this character was the most amazing person ever, he made that character come to life [and then humped everything in sight]), and Flower-child Draco Malfoy (a hippy, very happy, pastel-dressed Draco Malfoy). And yes, you can make a derivative character without the original one being taken.
-You may only switch teams or characters ONCE because this involves extra work for team leaders. Once you use that card, suck it up because I'm not changing it again. ^__^ If you want to change your character, mail your team leader and you will either be approved or disapproved. If you want to change teams, mail both team leaders with your old character and new character and you will either be approved or disapproved. DON'T BE ANNOYING THOUGH BECAUSE THAT'S NOT NICE. You must remove all identifying features of your old character or team (costumes, siggies, forum statuses, etc.). Once you change, you no longer have any rights to your old character. You do not get that character back, and anyone else can have that character.
-Each account only gets one character... ONE. So, if you are banned in the process of SCDH or you switch accounts, you will need to choose a completely new character... deal with it (or just don???t get banned, that works too).
-You are NOT allowed to sign up for people. If your BFF isn???t online, sorry, you can???t reserve a character for her/him.
-You are NOT allowed to reserve more than one character at a time (so no multiple blog posts like ???in this post I???m reserving ___??? and ???now in this post I???m reserving___??? ...no). However, you are still allowed to delete your post and change your mind and post again with a different character AS LONG AS you have not already been added to the blog (this will put you at the end of the waiting list).

QUOTA SYSTEM
This was slightly mentioned above, but I will explain more now. The Quota System is in place so that the teams can be fairly balanced number-wise, i.e. one team doesn???t have 75 members while the other team only has 30. This system does not pertain to players??? supposed ???ability??? to win games or how often they are online. So one team could end up with a lot of active players and the other team not so much and that would be completely fair because it is YOUR decision which team to join. We???re all big kids here, right? Right? Right??
So, the Team Leaders will work together to add people to their teams. At the end of each day, the teams should be ~about~ even until they???re edited the next day. Sign-ups for a particular team can close so the other team has time to catch up. If you have not already been added to the blog (and, as such, are on the ???waiting list???), you may at any time delete your comment and change your character or switch teams, but this will put you at the bottom of the waiting list. You do not need to mail Team Leaders in this case because it does not require a change to the blog, since you haven???t been added yet! : )
People are added to the blog on a first-come-first-served basis, so the first one to post gets one first. Posting faster means there is less chance of your character getting taken by someone else, but you also want to be as far ???up??? on the list as possible, because IF you???re on the losing team and IF we???re running low on participation prizes, prizes will be sent out based on who signed up first.

ONCE THE LEADER HAS PUT YOU AND YOUR CHARACTER ON THIS BLOG, READ THIS BIT:
Welcome to SCDH12! Now that you are a participant, you may start dressing up your character, making siggies, and pretending to be your character in forums.
There is only one requirement in dressing yourself: You MUST include your team name and your character name somewhere either in your siggy (as text, not as a rotating signature, that way we can always see it, or use a Team Pixel) or in your forum status.
We love beauty and creativity in siggies, but that doesn't mean you can't make siggies in MS Paint either. You may have other people make your siggies for you.

ACRxD MEMBERS - WE NEED A TEAM CHANT OR SONG! This is just something to yell at the other team when they try to beat us *hisss*. One example from Team COK was "PRAAAAAAAAAISE AND PENETRATE!!!" (they were a Greek-God themed team... and the latter part, I'm sure you can guess where that came from. ;p)
There will also be a chat topic in Spam JUST for US!! This is where we can all talk about the event and talk to each other in character - separate from the Roleplay, which has a designated chat topic.

Some interesting points concerning people in positions of power in SCDH and participating:
-Diff and I will be playing games for our respective teams, as we are in effect ???team captains,??? and will be on the look out for the host/judge of the game to not be biased just because a leader is involved. Leaders will maintain an aura of being in a leadership position without being biased or biasing the host. Leaders will be extremely careful to not be biased in the slightest, no matter how tempting that is. We all want this to be fair and fun, and winning by cheating is no fair or fun.
-If Lise decides to play, she will fill in for the team with less players in that game (no matter which team) and count as one of their own for that event. She???ll do her best to avoid playing for the most part to avoid confusion and to promote more participation from other players. If she does play, she???ll alternate between teams, and, of course, be on the look out for bias.
(P.S.: if you???re hosting a game and think that by ???being nice??? to a team leader or Lise will win you any brownie points... think again! ^__^)
