A tear formed on her cheek. It was cruel and unusual. But Carissa deserved it. She was no better than the person who had once controlled Jack. Stel burst into tears and started sobbing into Jack's shoulder. She should be happy that the evil once haunting her family was being vanquished, but part of her wasn't.

Carissa groaned in pain.
Nick kept laughing. She deserved all of this.

Paramore burst in suddenly, unhappy they had missed everything.

"Cruel and unusual?! How about tearing apart someone's family? Stealing from them? Going around treating them like dirt and slaves? Would you rather us just kill her immediately? Part of this is for you. I know she healed Dawn's leg and everything, but Ivy and I could've done the same thing just as fast. She wanted treat you like a slave. To have you run after her like a puppy. You heard her yourself."
